Tim was down in Leverburgh at the weekend and took the opportunity to cycle 'round the mountain' a 13 mile ride out from Leverburgh to Finsbay and then back via Rodel. He used one of the bikes which are at Am Bothan with Ruiri. 'What a great ride, it would have been even better if it wasn't for the northerly gale blowing against me on the way out'

Bike Hebrides is owned by two keen cyclists 

Tim Pickering

Tim- G4 challengeTim knows a thing or two about the outdoors. Having previously worked for the world largest adventure organisation, Outward Bound, he now runs Adventure Hebrides which has introduced hundreds of people to the possibiilties for excitement, challenge and fun on land and water.

He was the British representative in the 2003 Land Rover G4 challenge, a global adventure race that includes sections of running, biking and kayaking.

Through all of this, Tim has not forgotten what it is like to be a learner and has a great enthusism for teaching sport.

Tommy Cunningham

Tommy has been riding bikes for rather longer than he would care to remember. If you give him a chance he will regale you with stories of his cycling exploits round Glasgow when he was a young man. Make sure he makes you a cup of tea before he starts.
